DANGER DRAW
I'm a figurative artist and illustrator based in Southern California. I had been sketching a lot in figure drawing work shops when I started to get a little bored with the academic poses and the same models over an over. So I started asking complete strangers to model for me. I created this Tumblr page as a showcase to show potential models, and also to warehouse my repository of old drawings from class, and new ones of that pop up.

Some of the earlier posts on here are from life drawing workshops, but it is intended to transition to an ongoing project I call The Stranger Danger Project. Wherein, I draw sketches of strangers-- possibly portraits, costumed pin-up, or even nudes. The idea is to pursue complete randoms-- people that I meet on dating sites, Craigslist, the streets of LA, or here on Tumblr-- thank you internet!

I tend to denote in the captions if the model is not a professional, and you can usually tell from the poses. If you want to be drawn, hit me up.
